A huge variety of available activities and sights makes Cheshire the perfect county for an English mini break, even if the weather isn't guaranteed. It’s a must see county, but you’ll be needing a hotel, Cheshire offers too much to see in a day. In fact it is much better to spend two or three days.

Once you’ve booked your hotel, Cheshire will be waiting to welcome you to see and do some wonderful things. There is the opportunity to try horse riding, hiking or cycling as well as boating on one of Cheshire’s many canals.

Cheshire’s many public gardens are the perfect setting for a sunny stroll for the green fingered visitors. One eighth of all English garden visits happens in Cheshire, which shows how beautiful and plentiful these gardens are. There is also a fantastic botanical garden at Chester Zoo which you can enjoy as part of a great day at the zoo.

The Roman city of Chester is the perfect spot for history lovers. A wealth of historical sites and museums fill the city. The races, beautiful river walks and fantastic shopping are also to be found in this fashionable city. If a big shopping trip is in order, Liverpool and Manchester are only a stone's throw away.

Visitors who bring their own car will find getting around this large county easier, but transport links are good. Location and accessibility are factors when choosing a hotel, Cheshire has a lot! Perhaps the most luxurious hotel Cheshire can offer is Crewe Hall which is a historical and architectural dream. After a hard day visiting Cheshire's sights, it is the best place to relax with some good food.
