Transportation Tips for Andorra
Andorra is a quaint country that is located in Western Europe. It is nestled in the mountain passes of the Pyrenees Mountains. Andorra is a little larger than Washington DC. The tourist industry accounts for approximately 75% of the country’s economy. On average, the residents in Andorra have the longest human life span worldwide. There are many things to do while visiting Andorra. If you are into nature, you can go mountain hiding through the rugged mountain range or take advantage of the numerous walking trails while enjoying nature. There is also snowboarding and skiing available for those who actually enjoy snow sports.
If you are considering traveling to Andorra, there are some important factors you must keep in mind. Due to the mountainous ranges of the Pyrenees Mountains, one road leads into Andorra from France and one road entering Andorra from Spain. Please remember that that Andorra is not a Schengen member.
Spanish and French borders link the north-south highway of Andorra la Vella. Secondary roads and trails go across the border but they are closed sometimes during the winter season due to deep snow upon the mountain passes.
Buses are the primary means of transportation in Andorra. Public buses do provide regular travel services to get you where you need to go. There are also cable cars that operate between Egolasters Lake and Encamp. Vehicles from neighboring countries typically transport goods into Andorra. The Seo de Urgel airport is only 20 km from Andorra la Vella. If you are looking for an international airport, you can look at Barcelona, which is 215 km from Andorra. Toulouse, France is 165 km away from Andorra. Daily bus services are offered from the Barcelona and Toulouse airports going to Andorra.
An airport is being planned for construction in the near future for travel for the country of Andorra. The government of Andorra will pay for the construction of the airport that will be located ten minutes from the Andorran capital. Andorra will benefit greatly with this project.
There are no train stations available in Andorra. The French train station of l’Hospitalet is just a few miles from the Andorran border. You can catch an overnight train from Paris to l’Hospitalet along with many other services offered. From there you can take connections to Pas de la Case, Soldeu and Andorra La Vella.
The speed limit is 40km/h in the populated areas of Andorra and 90km/h elsewhere. Two huge complaints of tourists who drive in Andorra is the supposed reckless driving performed by the locals and traffic jams which occur in Andorra la Vella. You can avoid the traffic jams with bypassing Andorra la Vella by taking the ring road around the south side of town.
Whatever your transportation needs are, you will find that you will be accommodated in some way or the other. With a little patience and the desire to spend some time in beautiful Andorra, you will not be disappointed with your preparation in mind; you will be greatly pleased with what Andorra has to offer.

Ways To Find Cheap Flights
These are simply listed in point format to make it easier for you to read right through to the end. Of all the reviews I’ve written online these are my major points to consider.
Book in advance
Making an early booking is one way of getting a cheap flight. Do not wait until the last minute or else you will be charged “last minute” fees, which are normally exorbitant. Booking early is always an advantage even as early as 10 weeks if possible..
Travel midweek
The week days are really the best times to travel that is between Monday and Thursday. After this it can get really costly. I mean the weekends are considered peak time since everyone is traveling – if you want to fly cheap to SA, avoid weekend flights.
Book indirect flights
One thing is certain – direct flights are pricey. So the convenience of flying diredt comes at an expense.. If you are looking for the cheapest flight then do not even think about direct flights.
Travel in winter
If you’ve ever taken the time to look at airfares during different times of the year you will see that winter fares are much cheaper. This is because winter is considered off peak in South Africa i.e. midyear since we are in the Southern Hemisphere.
Travel at night
Most flights do occur during night times. However there are also day-flights, which you must avoid if you want to fly cheap. However, it is always best to compare these flights just incase there is a discount being offered by the day-flights.
All this information including up to date air fares is available at any one of these. If you can continue to surf this site to find out more information that you can use in your decision making or check out these links below:

Discover Lanzarote This Winter
There are plenty of winter sun destinations around the World. But few offer both the value and the convenience of the Canary Islands for British tourists. As the ‘European Caribbean’ is just four hours away by plane – located just off the coast of Morocco.
Over the years these seven specks of Spain have earned a bit of a downmarket reputation. And on larger islands such as Tenerife tourist development has certainly done little to improve the landscape. But on Lanzarote high rise buildings are banned whilst strict planning laws curb the worst excesses of the hotel chains and property speculators. Leaving the island largely unspoiled.
This winter it’s never been cheaper to visit. As flights to Lanzarote are currently on sale with low cost airlines such as Ryanair for as little as £9.99. As competition on this route hots up – thanks to a decision by the Spanish government to waive airport taxes and charges until the end of March 2010 in a bid to revive Spain’s faltering tourist sector. Which has seen visitor numbers drop on Lanzarote by close to 20% over the course of the year as the island struggles with the impact of the current economic crisis and the weakness of sterling against the euro.
Either way Lanzarote still has plenty to recommend it. Most importantly boasting excellent weather even during the darkest depths of winter. Along with close to 100 beautiful beaches and a host of things to do and see.
The islands best known attraction is the awe inspiring volcanic interior. Created around 250 years ago by a series of eruptions that lasted for six years. Leaving a lunar like landscape in its wake that has served as the backdrop for numerous science fiction films and which is surreal in the extreme.
These and other key attractions such as the Jameos del Agua, Mirador del Rio and the Cactus Garden are best explored by car. As public bus services are very limited. Whilst car hire in Lanzarote is extremely affordable – starting at around €90 per week and petrol much cheaper than in the UK, at just 0.80 euro per litre.
Good quality accommodation options are available across the island too. With the bulk of the best Lanzarote villas and hotels located in the two main resorts of Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca. Whilst chic countryside fincas and hotels cater to a growing demand for rural holidays.
The best Vegas holiday!
It was time for me to leave dreary England and head over to America, more precisely to Las Vegas. Just working all the time really wasn’t doing it for me, i needed to get out there and do something. I was determined to go to America, i wanted to head out on a long holiday. Somebody mentioned to me that Las Vegas was the place to be for an exciting holiday.
So that was it I was on my way for Las Vegas Holidays. I landed in McCarran Airport, and was picked up in a car and taken to the Bellagio Hotel. What a great place. This place was stunning, a true palace of beauty. Walking into the Bellagio is like walking into a palace. The room that i was given, well it was spectacular.
So now, to the gaming floor. Then it was for some gambling, a bit of pontoon, or the roulette wouldn’t go a miss. It was great fun, but to be fair I didn’t really win much, in fact I think I lost a fair bit. I then decided to visit Vegas, I went to several of the casinos to see what they were like, including; the Luxor, the Mirage and the Circus Circus.
After I had done my visiting of the sites, my vacation was coming to and end. I had seen all that i wanted to see on holiday, i therefore decided to go back into the gaming room, and try the new slot machines. I had begun to spend a little too much, somewhere in the region of 140 dollars, then all of a sudden, there was a flashing light and a siren, i was all of a sudden surrounded by people. At first I didn’t know what had happened, until I noticed the Giant “Jackpot” flashing sign. I won’t say how much I won, but it was a fair amount. One of the best holidays ever.
I have also recommended to my two sons to have Las Vegas weddings, should be good fun for all of them.
