Outside off peak season hotel and car rental do not offering discount, even there is a discount sometimes the discount is not even worth it. The fact is we travel when we actually have time to travel and most time it’s during peak season.
So aside from waiting for discounts during off peak season, why not take the initiative and find your own ways to cheap travel, make your own discount.
- Travel to places which have lower costs of living but offering of natural beauty. Take the Philippines or Malaysia for example, both has great views of natural beauty and tourism destinations, another plus is there are many people able to speak English in these countries.
- Find out for detour flights rather than the straight one when you inquire for airtravel. You can get lower overall prices if you choose to book two flights instead of one. By doing this way you able to save hundreds to thousands dollar.
- If you’re planning to stay in the hotel for more than a week, ask for week long stay discounts, these can range for percentages off your room price or even a “free day” discount.
- Package deals usually save a lot, transportation and accommodations combined into one are usually lower price compared to paying for them separately. Some travel agencies even offer trio packages which include transportation, accommodation and car rental which you can save a lot more.
- It is always better to cook the food by yourself rather than buying it everyday at a restaurant. You will save a lot of your pocket money on food. It is the best way to ensure your own health as well as your money by cooking it by yourself.
- Find out some online web-only discounts or coupons which some hotels and airline provide especially for those willing to reserve online. By doing this way you can save as much as 50% on your travel costs.
