Savannah is a pretty city, a great place for romantics and history fans. Savannah is the oldest and most well preserved city in the state of Georgia. It has long history of Southern charm and hospitality. Its a town with cobble stone streets and elegant mansions and gardens of camellias, azaleas, and rose bushes beneath trees draped in Spanish moss. Savannah is a perfect vacation spot for anyone in search of history, warm weather, fun, and something different. To accomodate its guests, the city has many Savannah bed and breakfast hotels to choose from.

To appreciate the downtown area, enjoy a carriage tour, a ghost tour, or simply walk around town. There are dozens of designated points of interest, and you won’t have trouble catching a few stories from the local residents.

The inner city is part of the 1,400 historically and architecturally important structures that make Savannah one of America’s largest urban historic districts. After a day touring Savannah, book a seat on the River Street Riverboat Company’s cruises where you can enjoy live entertainment, dancing and even thematic dinner cruises.

Your Savannah vacation agenda should include some of the following attractions: the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge, the Ships of the Maritime Museum, Skidaway Island State Park. You may like to see the set locations of 68 movie sites on a Savannah Movie Tour or try one of the Ghost Tours or Haunted tours led each evening.

If you like to enjoy the beach, Tybee Island makes for a great day trip in the sun. Take a short trolley, bus, or car ride and spend a few hours basking in the sun. This fun little place will whet your appetite for all things aquatic, and the pier and pavilion make for great people-watching opportunities. After you’ve had your fill of the beach, it’ll be nice to return to the mainland for an evening of blues or jazz, and you won’t have far to go to return to your Savannah Georgia bed and breakfast or one of the many Savannah Motels.
